Feminist Zine Making Workshop

Zine-making has been and continues to be an important medium in feminist and queer movements and history for: 

• artistic expression
• collective knowledge production and theorizing
• sharing practical and organizational information
• exercising creativity as a form of resistance to exclusionary mainstream and rigid academic forms of writing and publishing
• creating solidarity.  

In this workshop, participants will be introduced to different zine formats and prompts and work together to create pages that combine into a feminist zine.  The goal of this workshop is to create a space for collective feminist sharing, solidarity, and of course – fun! Participants are asked to bring scissors, any craft supplies they are happy to share as well as  old magazines or newspapers. Please register if you plan to join us.
